As many of you may already know my personal choice of scooter is a Green Power Unique 500 AKA Big Red which has now been fitted with a pair of brand new 11 inch Universal Air Shock Absorbers from Hegeiisy, which has improved the ride comfort massively because lets face it most factory fitted springs suck.
Changing the shocks over to the new ones was easier than I thought it was going to be due to the plastics already being removed from the scooter however, I am not saying it wouldn’t be a bit of a pain if you had to try and get to the top bolts with the panels in place because trust me space is extremely limited.
The top mounting holes have 3 sizes available 10mm, 12mm and 14mm so be sure to select the correct size when fitting yours because your scooter may make a knocking noise is you have the wrong size fitted, I would recommend that you adjust the shocks before refitting the rear panels because speaking from personal experience there is nothing worse than adjusting them 10mm at a time because you don’t have room for the adjustment spanners.
These are high-performance air shock absorbers which provide a much smoother ride and better overall damping management and would totally recommend these shocks to anyone looking at upgrading their ride experience and comfort.
